Beasiswa S-2 Kesehatan Masyarakat Online

Bagi teman-teman kesmas yang masih kuliah atau yang sudah lulus, ada beasiswa neh,,,,Online MPHDegree.net menawarkan dua beasiswa S-2 online dalam bidang kesehatan masyarakat. Beasiswa ini berbasis di Amerika Serikat (AS) dan dapat diambil oleh para pelajar internasional.

Program ini bisa diikuti oleh mahasiswa yang sedang aktif kuliah atau akan masuk kuliah pada jenjang S-2 bidang kesehatan masyarakat; termasuk bidang studi Epidemiologi, Biostatistik, Keperawatan, Ilmu Sosial dan Perilaku, Kesehatan Lingkungan atau Kebijakan dan Manajemen Kesehatan. Program ini ideal untuk perawat, tenaga medis, pekerja sosial, pemimpin komunitas, dsb.

Mahasiswa yang tidak berkuliah secara online tidak dapat melamar untuk program ini. Tetapi mereka yang kuliah dengan memadukan pertemuan di kelas dan kuliah online bisa melamar.

Total beasiswa yang ditawarkan adalah USD1.000, sesuai dengan biaya studi standar kuliah S-2 secara online. Para kandidat terpilih akan diminta menunjukkan transkrip akademik terakhir untuk memverifikasi nilai IPK mereka.

Jika kandidat tidak dapat menunjukkan dokumen tersebut atau nilai IPK yang tertera di ijazah berbeda dengan yang dituliskan ketika melamar, maka beasiswa akan dialihkan ke kandidat lain yang juga berhak.

Kandidat akan diseleksi berdasarkan formulir registrasi dan esai mereka. Status ekonomi tidak akan menjadi pertimbangan.  Kriteria tambahan lainnya adalah:
- Nilai IPK minimal 2,75 (skala 4,0)
- Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler
- Sejarah pekerjaan.

Kriteria yang dipertimbangkan dalam esai adalah bagaimana kemampuan kandidat dalam memberikan argumen yang kuat untuk menjawab berbagai pertanyaan tentang kesehatan masyarakat. Penilaian juga akan mencakup pandangan kandidat tentang kesehatan masyarakat berdasarkan fakta dan data pendukung.

Beasiswa bagi SDM Kesehatan Tahun 2013

Dalam rangka mencapai tujuan pembangunan kesehatan yaitu terwujudnya derajat kesehatan manusia Indonesia yang setinggi-tingginya, Kementerian Kesehatan menetapkan Visi Masyarakat Sehat Yang Mandiri dan Berkeadilan. Guna mencapai visi tersebut ditempuh melalui misi diantaranya menjamin ketersediaan dan pemerataan SDM yang bermutu dan berkeadilan, serta melaksanakan pengembangan dan pendayagunaan SDM yang berkualitas. 

Tahun 2013 Kementerian Kesehatan melalui DIPA Pusat Standardisasi, Sertifikasi dan Pendidikan Berkelanjutan SDM Kesehatan dan DIPA Poltekkes Kementerian Kesehatan, menyediakan alokasi dana bantuan tugas belajar yang diprioritaskan bagi SDM yang bekerja di fasilitas kesehatan untuk ditingkatkan kemampuan dan keahliannya guna pemenuhan kebutuhan SDM yang kompeten dan profesional. 

Untuk tahun 2013 pendidikan Tugas Belajar D-IV (dari lulusan D-III) melalui mekanisme RPL (Recognition Prior Learning) / Pengakuan Pembelajaran Lampau sedang dalam proses pembahasan dengan Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan. Sehingga tahun 2013 pendidikan Tugas Belajar D-IV Kesehatan untuk sementara tidak diadakan. 

Bahwa dalam rangka mengembangkan SDM Kesehatan perlu mendorong setiap SDM Kesehatan untuk mengembangkan diri dan meningkatkan kemampuan serta profesionalisme berbasis kompetensi melalui pendidikan lanjutan dalam bentuk pemberian tugas belajar.

Beasiswa Unggulan S2 Promosi Kesehatan UNDIP Tahun 2011

Guna mengantisipasi kebutuhan sumber daya manusia kesehatan yang berkemampuan akademik dalam upaya promosi kesehatan, maka Program Magister Promosi Kesehatan Universitas Diponegoro memandang perlu untuk membuka Program Unggulan di dalam bidang kajian Kesehatan Reproduksi dan HIV&AIDS. Program Magister Promosi Kesehatan Undip telah dipercaya oleh Departemen Pendidikan Nasional sejak tahun 2006 untuk menyelenggarakan Program Beasiswa Unggulan dan sampai saat ini telah berhasil merekrut sebanyak 24 orang mahasiswa pada batch I tahun 2006, 32 orang mahasiswa pada batch 2 tahun 2007, 15 orang mahasiswa pada batch 3 tahun 2008, 5 orang mahasiswa pada batch 4 tahun 2009.

Selain itu, saat ini telah berhasil pula menjalin kerjasama pendidikan dengan beberapa universitas di luar negeri diantaranya : Program Master of Population and Reproducive Research Mahidol University Thailand, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, dan National University of Singapore serta dalam proses kerjasama dengan beberapa universitas lainnya di dunia.

Pada tahun 2011 ini, Program Studi Magister Promosi Kesehatan kembali mendapatkan kepercayaan untuk membuka Program Beasiswa Unggula tahun 2011/2012 dengan persyaratan:

1. Mengisi formulir pendaftaran beasiswa unggulan yang dapat di download melalui website ini
2. Mengajukan rencana usulan tesis S2 (dalam bentuk proposal minimal 5 lembar)
3. Fotokopi ijazah dan transkrip nilai pendidikan terakhir yang telah dilegalisir
4. Program ini terbuka untuk Lulusan S-1 bidang kesehatan
5. IPK minimal adalah 3,25
6. Umur maksimal 35 tahun per 31 Agustus 2011
7. Menyertakan surat rekomendasi dari pimpinan instansi tempat calon bekerja
8. Pas foto berwarna terbaru ukuran 3 x 4 (5 lembar)
9. Fotokopi sertifikat TOEFL/IELTS/TOEIC (Institusional TOEFL score minimal 450 maksimal 1 tahun sejak tanggal tes TOEFL)*
10. Sertifikat penghargaan lain bila memiliki
11. Diharuskan meningkatkan TOEFL minimal 500 selama pendidikan
12. Biaya Pendaftaran Rp. 200.000,-
13. Apabila lulus seleksi, peserta melakukan registrasi ulang dan membayar biaya registrasi ulang sebesar Rp. 300.000,-

Belgium Phd position in Biostatistics 2009 2010

Starting from September 2009, the Institute of Statistics of the Université catholique de Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium, has a vacancy for a PhD student in Biostatistics in the topic of Survival Analysis.

The position is meant to conduct research on frailty models and their application in analysis of data from clinical trials. Despite the fact that frailty models became probably the most popular model to analyse clustered survival data, very little work has been done on the choice of the frailty density. In this project, we would like to investigate further the type of dependence induced by various choices of frailty density, the impact of misspecification of this density, and aim to develop diagnostics and goodness-of-fit tests. This research has direct application to the analysis of data from multicenter survival clinical trials.

Description of the position

As a research assistant (up to 4 years' tax-free monthly grant of about 1500 Euros) the doctoral student's main activity is working on his/her thesis under the supervision of Prof. Catherine Legrand. Apart from conducting research that leads to journal publications and a PhD. thesis, the candidate is expected to follow the program of the Graduate School in Statistics and Actuarial Sciences and he/she can be involved on a small scale into some teaching activities of the IS.

Description of the working environment

The Institute of Statistics is a renowned research centre of high international reputation which offers a very stimulating working environment. It is equipped with modern computing facilities, a statistics library, a vivid visitors' programme and ample funding for scientific travel. At the IS there are about 15-20 doctoral students working under the supervision of about 10 professors, in a variety of fields of methodological and applied statistics, including biostatistics and actuarial sciences. They are integrated into the Graduate School in Statistics and Actuarial Sciences which offers them an up-to-date training in their field via regular seminar series, short courses and workshops, all in English and often given by international short and long-term visitors. A high percentage of the PhD students graduate from the IS and succeed in starting a promising career, be it in academia or industry.

The IS is part of a large international research network. It has numerous academic contacts, including those to neighbouring fields (medicine, agronomy, social science, economy, finance and engineering) as well as collaborations with industry. It is placed in the heart of a modern, vivid and international university campus, in close proximity of Brussels and its international airport, and in short travel distance to other European capitals.

Required qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a degree on the master level in (Bio)Statistics or in related field. This diploma must be obtained with at least distinction or an equivalent grade.

Beside good background in statistics and mathematics, the candidate should have an interest for applied statistics in clinical settings; good programming skills and experience in the use of statistical software such as SAS and/or R is a plus.

The candidate should be highly motivated, think analytically and creatively and have a good command of French and/or English.

The World Bank - Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program Application 2008-2009

The Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program provides support to young researchers working in academic and research institutions from developing countries, and preparing a doctoral thesis in a subject related to development. Research grants cover residence costs in a university or research center in a member country of the World Bank other than the home country or country of residence of the candidate. Fellowships are awarded for a period of five to ten months and must be completed between July 2008 and June 2009. The maximum amount of grant is US$25,000.

This structured PhD programme has an annual intake of postgraduate Scholars. Its establishment in 2007 was possible through funding from the Health Research Board. Health Social Science Program at Mahidol University

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that we have scholarships available for our Health Social Science International Program (HSSIP) at Mahidol University in Thailand. The Ford Foundation and The Rockefeller Foundation are providing a number of scholarships for the 22-month program that begins July 2008, and there will be additional space for those who can obtain their own source of funding. The applicants eligible for the scholarships are those from China, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao, Vietnam and Thailand. The program provides a multidisciplinary social science approach (sociological, anthropological, economic and psychological) to develop an understanding of how social determinants play roles in affecting health, well-being and illness. Our study focus concentrates on gender and sexuality, sexual and reproductive health, social transformation and health, and applied health research.
