A leading Shipyard and Offshore company in Batam Island, is seeking suitably qualified candidates to join the company as:

Occupational Health & Safety Manager

Qualification:

• A time served background in rig/ship building, rig/ship repair, rig/ship conversion.
• Formal Qualification in OH&S.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of OHSAS 18001:2000.
• Preferably a lead OHSAS Auditor.
• Minimum 5 years experience in a Senior OH&S position within a shipyard with multilingual workforce.

Responsibilities:

• Overall management of the Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
• Ensure company’s OH&S procedures are up to date and as a minimum conform to local legislation and where practicable conform with International Best Practice.
• Coordinate with company Management, Owners, Contractors and local authorities on OH&S matters.
• Devise, implement, coordinate, conduct OH&S training.
