Maternal and Child Health Project Management Specialist

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) is recruiting Indonesian Nationals only for a Maternal and Child Health Project Management Specialist position (Post Code: MCH); Salary range between Rp. 18 – 38 million per month depending on qualifications, experience and salary history.

Scope of Work:

The incumbent manages and provides technical review of all bilateral and centrally funded project activities in maternal, neonatal and child health, nutrition and reproductive programs. S/he provides technical leadership and primary management in selected activities, including both bilateral and centrally funded projects. S/he provides support on key programmatic technical areas of expertise (e.g. behavior change, medial/IEC, public-private sector initiatives, essential newborn care, midwifery care, health care provider training, community mobilization, monitoring and evaluation, surveillance, health information systems, etc.) S/he maintains active liaison with the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Womwnt’s Empowerement, MenkoKesra, bilateral donors, international organizations and professional organizations, Non-Government Organization (NGOs) as relevant to current programs and technical priorities.

S/he assists the BHS/Health Section in ensuring that Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health/Reproductive Health (MNCH/RH) activities are continually up-to-date technically and are justifiable in relation to USAID/Indonesia objectives, including the foreign assistance framework of the US Government (USG). S/he represents USAID (BHS/Health Section) at technical meetings and scientific conferences where substantive, appropriate and informed participation on technical areas in MNCH/RH as well as USAID/USG strategic priorities and objectives is required and as a member of relevant and active civil society coordination groups (e.g. immunization, donor coordination, infant feeding, nutrition etc.) to ensure effectives representation of USAID programs and priorities in these forums.

Qualifications:

Masters Degree or equivalent from an accredited university in a health science such as public health, epidemiology, nutrition, social science (with health focus) or other relevant discipline. Minimum seven (7) years of progressive experience in managing public health programs with focus on MCH and five (5) years of experience working in the development context, preferably in, or closely in partnership with an international organization (bilateral, multilateral).
